About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. Your work will directly contribute to the financial health and success of the company. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop and implement budget plans, providing insights into financial trends and variances.
- Tax Compliance and Planning: Ensure timely tax filings, manage tax audits, and support tax planning strategies.
- Mentor and Lead Accounting Team: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior accountants, helping them grow and improve their skills.
- Internal Controls and Audits: Develop and maintain effective internal controls to ensure financial data integrity. Lead audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency within the department.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Proven track record of successful audit and tax filings.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
